The schedule for this year’s Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMAs) has been announced. The 5th edition of the event, which recognizes and honors music of visual mediums and the individuals who create, produce and place compositions in the medium, will take place on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at The Fonda Theater in Hollywood. The 2014 HMMAs welcome back celebrity hosts including Academy Award-nominated actor Eric Roberts, former Matchbox 20 member Adam Gaynor, writer/director/producer Andy Fickman and Earh, Wind & Fire’s Verdine White. Featured performances will include Singaporean pop-artist Wiltay and Swedish singer Viktoria Tocca. More performers and special guests will be announced soon. New categories at this year’s HMMAs include the Best Song and Best Score categories for both Animated Films and Reality TV shows. Artists, composers and their representatives are encouraged to submit through the HMMA website for their projects released in the 2014 calendar year. The deadline to submit is September 30, 2014. The field of entrants will be narrowed down to final nominees by the HMMA advisory board and selections committee with the winners voted on by approximately 100 music-media industry professionals comprised of music supervisors, studio and network music execs, composers and songwriters.
