Dan Marocco is currently scoring the upcoming Fox comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The show is created by Dan Goor and Michael Schur (Parks and Recreation) and stars Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Melissa Fumero, Terry Crews, Joe Lo Truglio, Stephanie Beatriz and Chelsea Peretti. The show centers around a diverse group of detectives at a New York precinct. The Universal Television production is executive produced by Goor, Schur and David Miner (30 Rock). Phil Lord and Chris Miller (21 Jump Street, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) have directed the pilot episode. Brooklyn Nine-Nine is set to premiere on September 17, 2013 and will air every Tuesday night on Fox. For updates on the comedy, visit the official show website.
Marocco is also scoring the upcoming thriller Demonic. The film is directed by Will Canon and stars Maria Bello, Frank Grillo, Cody Horn and Scott Mechlowicz. The movie follows a policeman and a psychologist who interrogate the lone survivor of a ghost-hunting excursion that resulted in the deaths of five people. Max La Bella has written the screenplay based on a story by James Wan (The Conjuring, Insidious). Wan is also producing the Dimension Films production with Lee Clay (Beautiful Boy). Marocco has previously collaborated with Canon on his feature directorial debut Brotherhood, as well as a number of the director’s early shorts. Demonic is currently in post-production and is expected to be released in 2014.
The composer is also composing the score for the third season of the Adult Swim comedy NTSF:SD:SUV created by Paul Scheer and starring Kate Mulgrew, Brandon Johnson, June Diane Raphael, Rob Riggle, Karen Gillian, Martin Starr and Peter Serafinowic.
