GNP Crescendo has announced a new expanded soundtrack collector’s edition for the sci-fi film Star Trek: Insurrection. The album features the film’s complete original score composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith, including a half hour more music than the original 1998 CD and several alternates for a total running time of over 79 minutes. The soundtrack will be released on August 6, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on the label’s official website. GNP has recently released expanded soundtrack editions for other movies in the Star Trek series, including Star Trek: Generations and Star Trek: First Contact. Star Trek: Insurrection directed by Jonathan Franks and starring himself, as well as Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, F. Murray Abraham, Donna Murphy and Anthony Zerbe marked the ninth feature film of the franchise. The movie is now available on Blu-ray and DVD.
