Oli Julian (Sex Education, The Twits, Breeders, Fackham Hall, Catastrophe, How to Build a Girl, The Full Monty) is the composer of the new HBO/Sky original series War. The show is created by George Kay (Lupin, Hijack) and stars Dominic West, Sienna Miller, Phoebe Fox, James McArdle, Pip Torrens, Archie Renaux, Celia Imrie, Nick Mohammed, Emma Laird, Archie Panjabi, Aran Murphy, Adrian Scarborough, Shaheen Jafargholi, Akiya Henry, Miles Jupp, Honor Swinton Byrne, Kartanya Maynard, Dylan Edwards, Mark Quartley, Alexandra Mardell and Steve Furst. The legal drama follows the lives of London’s most powerful lawyers as two rival law firms clash over a headline-grabbing legal battle, drawing an ambitious young lawyer into a ruthless world where ambition is currency, betrayal is strategy, and winning is everything. Kay is also executive producing the New Pictures & Observatory Pictures production with Willow Grylls (The Long Shadow, Des), Matt Sandford (Gone, Blood Sacrifice), Susan Breen, Andrea Dewsbury, Megan Spanjian (Waco, Under Salt Marsh), as well as Ben Taylor (The Boroughs) who also serves as the project’s lead director. Julian has previously collaborated with Taylor on Netflix’s Sex Education and Disney+’s Renegade Nell. War will premiere in the U.S. this coming Thursday, October 1 on HBO (and HBO Max) and will make its UK debut the following day on Sky.
