Gabriel Mann (Modern Family, A Million Little Things, Rosewood, Rectify, DMV, The Unicorn) has been tapped to score the new Freeform original series Coven Academy. The show is created by Tim Federle (Ferdinand) and stars Malina Pauli Weissman, Malachi Barton, Jordan Leftwich, Ora Duplass, Louis Thresher, Tiffani Thiessen, as well as special guest star Devon Sawa. The supernatural teen drama follows three teenage witches and their dangerously charming warlock peers at an elite magic boarding school where power is currency, secrets are lethal and attraction is a liability. Federle is also executive producing the project for his Chorus Boy Productions company, alongside Darren Swimmer (Smallville), Todd Slavkin (Shadowhunters, Defiance), Amanda Row (Revival) and Bronwyn North-Reist (Vampirina: Teenage Vampire). Mann has previously collaborated with Federle on the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical – The Series and movie Better Nate Than Never. Coven Academy will premiere next Thursday, October 1 on Freeform and the following day on Disney+ and Hulu.
Mann is also expected to return to score the sixth and final season of Netflix’s Emily in Paris, which will premiere on December 24.
