Clint Mansell (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, Noah, Moon, The Fountain, The Wrestler, Doom Patrol) is the new composer of the Paramount+ original series MobLand. He is scoring the second season of the crime drama created by Ronan Bennett (The Day of the Jackal, Gunpowder) and starring Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, Paddy Considine, Lara Pulver, Joanne Froggatt, Anson Boon, Jasmine Jobson, Mandeep Dhillon, Teddie Allen, Johnny Flynn, Ophelia Lovibond, Emmett J. Scanlan, Janet McTeer and Toby Jones. Season 2 of the show follows the Harrigans as they struggle to show a unified front as rising rivals threaten their fractured criminal empire. Bennett & Hardy also executive producing the MTV Entertainment Studios & 101 Studios production with David C. Glasser (Yellowstone, 1883),Guy Ritchie (Snatch, Sherlock Holmes), Jez Butterworth (Ford v Ferrari, Edge of Tomorrow), Ivan Atkinson (The Gentlemen, Wrath of Man), Dean Baker (Great Expectations, Taboo), Ron Burkle (Lawmen: Bass Reeves, Tulsa King), David Hutkin (Waco: The Aftermath), Bob Yari (Crash, The Illusionist) and Keith Cox (Mayor of Kingstown, Lioness). Matt Bellamy & Ilan Eshkeri have previously scored last year’s first season of the series. Season 2 of MobLand is premiering today exclusively on Paramount+.
Mansell’s other recent scoring projects include Dominga Sotomayor’s feature La Perra, which premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and is currently awaiting a release date.
