UFA Fiction has released a soundtrack album for the German family adventure Emil and the Detectives (Emil und die Detektive). The album features the film’s original score composed by Peter Horsch (The Path, Gute Freunde – Der Aufstieg des FC Bayern) & Michael Kamm (Sleepless, Who Am I, Prey, Close to the Horizon), Also included are three songs written by Jules Kalmbacher and featuring vocals by Rua. Emil and the Detectives is directed by David Dietl and stars Nicholas Jonah Peter, Luise Heyer, Merlin Sandmeyer and Ursula Werner. The movie based on the bestselling classic novel by Erich Kästner follows the title character whose money for his grandmother is stolen on his train trip to Berlin and teams up with a fearless group of kids to outsmart a clever thief, uncover hidden clues across the city. The film will be released in German theaters next Thursday, September 24.
