Dominic Lewis (The Fall Guy, Bullet Train, Peter Rabbit, Karate Kid: Legends, The King’s Man, The Man in the High Castle, Dope Thief, Money Monster, Spirited) is returning to score the upcoming action comedy Violent Night 2. The film is directed by Tommy Wirkola (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Dead Snow) and stars David Harbour, Kristen Bell, Jared Harris, Maxwell Friedman, Joe Pantoliano, Daniela Melchior and Andrew Bachelor. The sequel follows Santa as he finds himself in the heart of a lively mall community in desperate need of his help and has to call in some last-minute reinforcements from the one person no baddie wants to tangle with: Mrs. Claus.
Pat Casey & Josh Miller (Sonic the Hedgehog) wrote the screenplay . 87North founders David Leitch & Kelly McCormick (Nobody, How It Ends) are producing the project. Lewis has previously scored the original 2022 movie and also collaborated with Wirkola on this year’s Thrash. Violent Night 2 is set to be released in theaters nationwide on December 4, 2026 by Universal Pictures.
As previously reported, Lewis also has Leitch’s How to Rob a Bank (to be released in theaters on November 13, pushed back from its original September 4 release) coming up. He also continues to score Apple TV’s Your Friends & Neighbors, which will return for a third season,
