Composer/bassist/songwriter and record producer Marcus Miller (Boomerang, House Party, The Brothers, Marshall, The Great White Hype, Serving Sara, About Last Night) is reuniting with actor/writer/director Chris Rock on the upcoming comedy drama Misty Green. The film is written and directed by Rock and stars Rosalind Eleazar, Adam Driver, Daniel Kaluuya, Anna Kendrick and Rock himself. The movie revolves around a talented actress whose career has stalled fights as she for her second act years after her Hollywood breakthrough. Rock is also producing the project with Peter Rice (28 Years Later, Warfare), David Worthen Brooks (Mr. Crocket) and Victoria Thomas. Miller has previously scored Rock’s directorial efforts Head of State & I Think I Love My Wife and his TV show Everybody Hates Chris. Misty Green will premiere this September at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival and will be released in select theaters on October 9, 2026 by A24 before expanding nationwide in the following weeks.
