Nigerian singer/songwriter and record producer Tems will serve as the executive music producer of the soundtrack for the film adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s fantasy novel Children of Blood and Bone. Burna Boy is the executive music consultant of the movie co-written and directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood (The Woman King, Love & Basketball) and staring Thuso Mbedu, Damson Idris, Amandla Stenberg, Tosin Cole, Cynthia Erivo, Zackary Momoh, Idris Elba, Lashana Lynch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Regina Kin and Viola Davis. Original songs by both artists are featured in the film’s first trailer, which is embedded below. As previously reported, Terence Blanchard is scoring the fantasy adventure, which is set in the fantasy world of Orïsha and follows a young woman goes on a quest to reclaim the magic that was violently stolen from her people. Children of Blood and Bone will be released in theaters nationwide on January 15, 2027 by Paramount Pictures.
