Nami Melumad (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds & ProdigyThor: Love and Thunder, Dream Productions, Absentia, One Fast MoveAn American Pickle, The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window) has recently composed the music for the upcoming comedy Babies. The film is directed by Lauren Miller Rogen (Like Father, For a Good Time, Call…) and stars Anna Kendrick, Seth Rogen, Issa Rae, Dan Stevens, Zach Cherry, Sharon Stone, David Strathairn, Ed Helms, Ashley Park and Kate Berlant. The movie follows a couple struggling with the decision of whether or not to bring a child into the world who become instant co-parents when their newly-divorced friend moves into their home with her 4-year-old. Miller Rogen is also producing the AGC Studios & Monarch Media production with Jen W. Ray, Stuart Ford (The Order, Eden) and Steve Barnett (A Week Away, Full of It). Babies will premiere this September at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival.

Melumad’s other recent/upcoming projects include Paramount+’s Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, which just returned for its fourth season last month and has been renewed for a fifth and final season, as well as Pixar’s animated short Loving Dory.
