MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the animated feature Winnipeg: Seeds of Hope (Winnipeg, el barco de la esperanza). The album features the film’s original music composed, orchestrated and conducted by Diego Navarro (The Photographer of Mauthausen, Black Butterflies, Passage to DawnDosCapture the Flag, Mimesis: Night of the Living Dead) and performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list. Winnipeg: Seeds of Hope is directed by Beñat Beitia & Elio Quiroga and tells the story of a widowed father and his young daughter who leave Spain when Barcelona falls to Franco’s forces in 1939 and whose journey takes them through refugee camps in France aboard the SS Winnipeg, a freighter chartered by Neruda to take them to Valparaíso, Chile, where a new life may begin.The animated movie premiered at this year’s Annecy International Animation Film Festival and just opened in Spanish theaters this past weekend. No word yet on a domestic release.
