Sigur Rós lead singer Jónsi (Without Remorse, We Bought a Zoo) and Alex Somers (Nickel Boys, Captain Fantastic, Holland, Together, Together, Honey Boy, Causeway, Dawson City: Frozen Time) have teamed up to score the upcoming documentary The A-Word: The Future of Aging. The film is directed by Greg Kohs (AlphaGo, The Thinking Game) and follows visionary scientists racing to extend lifespan and the rescue dog whose bond with an 87-year-old widower demonstrates the stakes of life extension. Gary Krieg is producing the project. Jónsi & Somers have previously co-scored Cameron Crowe’s Aloha, Michael James Johnson’s All the Wilderness, last year’s Rental Family and the first season of the TV series Manhattan The A-Word: The Future of Aging is premiering tonight at the 2026 Tribeca Festival.
