Christopher Lennertz (Lost in Space, Sausage Party, Agent Carter, Horrible Bosses, Ride Along, Back in Action) & Matt Bowen (The Binge, Summer of ’69, Best.Worst.Weekend.Ever) are returning to score the upcoming Prime Video original series Vought Rising. The prequel to the streamer’s hit show The Boys stars Jensen Ackles, Aya Cash, Mason Dye, Will Hochman, KiKi Layne, Nicolo Pasetti, Jorden Myrie, Elizabeth Posey, Ricky Staffieri and Brian J. Smith. The series is set in the 1950s and explores the twisted origins of Vought International. Paul Grellong serves as the project’s showrunner and is also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television & Amazon MGM Studios production with Eric Kripke (Supernatural, Revolution), Point Grey’s Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg & James Weaver (The Studio, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem), Neal H. Moritz Fast & Furious series, 21/22 Jump Street), Pavun Shetty (Happy!, Goosebumps), Ori Marmur (Passengers, Escape Room), Ken Levin (Painkiller Jane), Jason Netter (Wanted), Garth Ennis (Preacher), Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr and Jim Barnes. Lennertz & Bowen have previously scored The Boys, which just finished its series run earlier this week, as well as its first spin-off, Gen V. Vought Rising will premiere in 2027 on Prime Video.
As previously reported, Lennertz also has Tim Story’s Netflix film 72 Hours coming up.
