Born Bad Records has released a soundtrack album for the French drama The Girl in the Snow (L’engloutie). The album features the film’s original music composed by Forever Pavot (aka Emile Sornin) (Babysitter, The Nature of Love, Faithful, Bitten). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to the composer’s after the jump. The Girl in the Snow is co-written and directed by Louise Hemon and stars Galatéa Bellugi, Matthieu Lucci, Samuel Kircher, Sharif Andoura, Oscar Pons, Amid Bouselahane, Marisa Ronchail, André Borel and Annie Souche. The movie follows ab educated, independent young woman who arrives in a remote snow-covered Alpine hamlet one stormy night in 1899 to teach the village children, but her modern ideas and burgeoning sexuality quickly clash with local traditions and ways. The drama premiered at last year’s Cannes Directors’ Fortnight and opened in French theaters in December. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
