Cristobal Tapia de Veer (The White Lotus, Babygirl,SmileUtopia,  The Girl with All the GiftsThe Third Day,National Treasure) is scoring the upcoming drama Club Kid. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Jordan Firstman and stars Firstman himself, Cara Delevingne, Diego Calva, Reggie Absolom and Eldar Isgandarov. The movie is set in New York City and follows a washed-up underground party promoter whose life takes an unexpected turn when he’s forced to look after a son that he never knew he had. Firstman also wrote the screenplay and is producing the project with Alex Coco (Anora, Red Rocket). Club Kid will premiere next month at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.

Tapia de Veer’s other recent projects include BBC’s Lord of the Flies, which premiered in the UK earlier this year and will make its U.S. debut on May 4 on Netflix, as well as Gabriela Osio Vanden’s & Jack Weisman’s Nuisance Bear, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, and Pablo Trapero’s &Sons, which premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival. Both movies are currently awaiting release dates.
