Dragon’s Domain Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1972 historical drama Pope Joan directed by Michael Anderson and starring Liv Ullmann, Olivia de Havilland, Franco Nero, Jeremy Kemp, Leslie-Anne Down, Natasha Nicolescu, Peter Arne, Patrick Magee and Maximilian Schell. The album features the newly remastered score from the film composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Maurice Jarre (Lawrence of Arabia, Doctor Zhivago, GhostGorillas in the Mist, Witness, No Way Out, Jacob’s Ladder).. The soundtrack is now available to order as a limited edition CD on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio clips. Harkit Records has previously released the premiere soundtrack for the title on CD back in 2009. Pope Joan is now available on DVD.

BSX Records’ division Citadel Records has also announced a remastered version of Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s recording of Bernard Herrmann’s unused score for Alfred Hitchcock’s 1966 thriller Torn Curtain conducted by Elmer Bernstein.
