FatCat Records will release a soundtrack album for the Austrian/German drama Rose. The album features the film’s original music composed by singer/songwriter Tara Nome Doyle who has made her feature scoring debut on the project. The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 17 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list. A first track is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out after the jump. A limited vinyl edition will also be coming out on the same day. Rose is co-written and directed by Markus Schleinzer and stars Sandra Hüller, Caro Braun, Marisa Growaldt, Godehard Giese qnd Augustino Renken. The movie is set in the early 17th century and follows a soldier who arrives at an isolated Protestant village in Germany claiming to be the heir to an abandoned farmstead. The drama premiered at this year’s Berlin Film Festival and will be released in Austrian theaters on April 17 and in German theaters on April 30. MUBI has recently picked up domestic (and other international) distribution rights for a release in the U.S. later this year.
