Claudia Sarne (Shining Girls, Earthquake Bird, Triple 9, The Book of Eli, The Yogurt Shop Murders, Dispatches from Elsewhere, Broken City) has taken over scoring duties on DC Studios’ upcoming feature Supergirl. The film is directed by Craig Gillespie (Cruella, I, Tonya) and stars Milly Alcock, Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham and Jason Momoa. The movie follows the title characyer as she reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on a journey of vengeance and justice when an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home. Ana Nogueira wrote the screenplay. DC Studios heads James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, Superman) & Peter Safran (The Conjuring, Aquaman) are producing the project. Sarne is taking over for Tom Holkenborg who was announced to score the film last month, while Ramin Djawadi was originally attached the score the film. Supergirl will be released in theaters nationwide on June 26, 2026 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
