Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Japanese anime feature A New Dawn. The album features the film’s original score composed by Shuta Hasunuma (Strange Tales of Love and Strangers). Also included is the song Aoba by imase. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 4 and will be available to stream/download here. A CD version is available to order as an import (from Universal Music Japan) on Amazon. Listen to the first score track and the song below. A New Dawn is written and directed by Yoshitoshi Shinomiya and stars Riku Hagiwara, Kotone Furukawa and Miyu Irino. The movie tells the story of a boy who locks himself inside a shuttered factory and is determined to unravel the mystery of the Shuhari, a mythical firework that represents the universe, and that was envisioned by his father before he disappeared without a trace. The animated drama premiered at this year’s Berlin Film Festival and will open in Japanese theaters this Friday, March 6. No domestic distribution deal has been announced yet.
