Karl Sölve Steven (Come to Daddy, Uproar, The Justice of Bunny King, Bookworm, The Girl on the BridgeThe Subtle Art of Not Giving a #@%!) has released a soundtrack album for the New Zealand drama Pike River. The album features the composer’s original music from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen to Steven’s first track (Eurydice) below. Pike River is directed by Robert Sarkies and stars Melanie Lynskey, Robyn Malcolm and Lucy Lawless. The movie tells the true story of two women whose friendship empowered them to fight for justice after the Pike River Mine Tragedy took the lives of twenty-nine men underground. The drama, which premiered at last year’s Sydney Film Festival, opened in New Zealand theaters last October and is being released in select U.S. theaters and on VOD today by Brainstorm Media.
