Decca Records France has released a soundtrack album for the animated feature The Legendaries (Les Légendaire). The album features the film’s original score written by French singer, harpist and composer Cécile Corbel (The Secret World of Arrietty, Land of the Bears) and Simon Caby. Also included is the original song La chanson des Légendaires performed by Corbel. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. A CD version is also being released overseas and will be available to order as an import on Amazon within the next couple of days. The Legendaries directed by Guillaume Ivernel is based on Patrick Sobral’s bestselling French comic series of the same name. The animated fantasy adventure tells the story of five heroes living in the medieval fantasy kingdom of Alysia who unwittingly break the Stone of Jovenia, which bestows eternal youth and whose power is unleashed across the kingdom. The film will open in French theaters tomorrow, January 28 and is also set to be released in other international markets in the coming weeks. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
