Composers Will Blair & Brooke Blair (Green RoomRebel Ridge, The Informer, Hold the Dark, Black Christmas, Blue Ruin) are reuniting with director Macon Blair on the upcoming comedy The Shitheads. The film is written and directed by Macon and stars Dave Franco, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Mason Thames, Nicholas Braun, Kiernan Shipka and Peter Dinklage. The movie follows two unqualified bozos who get hired to transfer a rich teen to rehab, but their straightforward gig quickly spirals into dangerous mayhem. Franco is also producing the project with Alex Orr (Easy, Win It All), Brandon James (Flower, Arizona), Nathan Klingher (The Surfer, One Way), Mark Fasano (Land of Bad, We Bury the Dead), Josh Harris (Mary, Motor City) and Ford Corbett (Muzzle, Coyotes). Jeremy Saulnier, David Gordon Green, Danny McBride & Jody Hill are among the film’s executive producers. The composers have previously scored  Macon’s directorial efforts I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore & The Toxic Avenger and also composed the music for several other films he wrote and produced. The Shitheads is premiering this week at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival.
