10000 Watts of Iron has released a soundtrack album for the Nepali drama Gunyo Cholo: The Dress. The album features the film’s original music composed and produced by Marcello De Francisci (Jane Got a Gun, Samsara, First Love, Purdah), with vocals by Lisa Gerrard (Gladiator, Whale Rider, The Insider, Ali, City of Dreams). Gunyo Cholo: The Dress is co-written and directed by Samundra Bhatta and stars Nijir Husen, Bishal Pahari, Sanchita Luitel, Anupam Shrestha, Susil Sitaula and Rajkumar Ghos. The movie follows the only male descendant of a patriarchal retired Army General who aspires to become a trans-woman while being groomed by his father to follow in his footsteps into a career in the military. The drama was released theatrically in Nepal last summer and will open in Cambodian theaters tomorrow.
