C’est Midi Editions has released a soundtrack album for the Italian drama Sweetheart (Gioia mia). The album features the film’s original music composed by Alice Zecchinelli. Sweetheart is written and directed by Margherita Spampinato and stars Marco Fiore, Aurora Quattrocchi,Martina Ziami and Camille Dugay. The movie tells the story of a rebellious young boy and his devout great-aunt who are forced to spend the summer together in the antiquated Sicilian house where she grew up. The drama premiered at this year’s Locarno Film Festival and just opened in Italian theaters last month. No word yet on a domestic release.
