Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album for the Nordic Disney+/Hulu limited series To Cook a Bear (Koka björn). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Anne Chmelewsky (Where Hands Touch, The Shepherd, Maestra, Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, Only People). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s title track after the jump. To Cook a Bear is based on Mikael Niemis’ book of the same name and stars Gustaf Skarsgård, Ane Dahl Torp, Magnus Krepper, Tyra Wingren, Jonas Karlsson, Simon J. Berger, Johan Widerberg, Emil Kárlsen and Pernilla August. The 6-part crime drama directed by Trygve Allister Diesen and written by Jesper Harrie takes place in the mid-19th century in the village of Kengis, northern Sweden and follows a runaway Sami boy who develops a deep relationship while investigating an unexpected murder mystery. The series premiered overseas last month on Disney+ and in the U.S. on Hulu.
