Gabriel Mann (Modern Family, A Million Little Things, Rosewood, Better Nate Than Never, Rectify, High School Musical: The Musical – The Series) is scoring the new CBS comedy DMV. The show is developed by Dana Klein based on a short story by Katherine Heiny and stars Harriet Dyer, Tim Meadows, Tony Cavalero, Alex Tarrant, Molly Kearney and Gigi Zumbado. The series is set at the Department of Motor Vehicles, where employees are making minimum wage dealing with customers who are annoyed before they even walk in the door. Klein is also executive producing the CBS Studios production with Matt Kuhn (Fresh Off the Boat), Aaron Kaplan (The Chi, Santa Clarita Diet), Wendi Trilling (The Neighborhood, The Unicorn) and Robyn Meisinger (Slender Man, Uglies). Trent O’Donnell (Ghosts, Ride the Eagle) serves as an executive producer and directed the pilot episode. Mann has previously scored the Klein-produced CBS comedies Friends with Better Lives and 9JKL. DMV will premiere this coming Mondaay, October 13 on CBS and will also be available to stream on Paramount+.
Mann is also expected to return to score the fifth season of Netflix’s Emily in Paris, after joining the show last season.
