Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Eleanor the Great. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dustin O’Halloran (Lion, Like Crazy, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, Transparent, The Old Guard, Ammonite, The Essex Serpent, A Spy Among Friends). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, September 26 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (Memories) is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out after the jump. Eleanor the Great marks the feature directorial debut of Scarlett Johansson and stars June Squibb, Erin Kellyman, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jessica Hecht and Rita Zohar. The movie written by Tory Kamen revolves around a 94-year old woman who – after seventy years with her best friend – moves to New York City for a fresh start and befriends a 19-year-old student. The dramaa premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and will be released in U.S. theaters next weekend by Sony Pictures Classics.
