Lee Holdridge has recently scored the Lifetime original movie Liz & Dick. The film center on the nearly 25-year relationship between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, to whom she was married two separate times. Lindsay Lohan is portraying Taylor and Grant Bowler is playing Burton. Creed Bratton co-stars as studio chief Darryl F. Zanuck and Theresa Russell, David Hunt and David Eigenberg are also starring in the film directed by Llyod Kramer (David and Lisa). Christopher Monger (Temple Grandin) has written the script and Larry A. Thompson is executive producing the project. Liz & Dick is set to premiere this November on Lifetime. The Emmy-winning composer whose credits include such titles as Beauty and the Beast, Moonlighting and The Mists of Avalon has also written the music for the TV drama The Confession based on the novel by Beverly Lewis. The film is directed by Michael Landon Jr. (The Last Sin Eater) and stars Katie Leclerk, Bill Oberst Jr., Adrian Paul, Sherry Stringfield, Sandra Van Natta and Cameron Deane Stewart. The Odyssey Networks and Believe Pictures production is the sequel to last year’s The Shunning starring Danielle Panabaker, which was also scored by Holdridge and tells the continuing story of Katie Lapp, a young Amish woman who goes on a journey in search of her identity. The Confession is set to premiere on Mother’s Day 2013 on the Hallmark Channel.
Also coming up for Holdridge is the indie drama Hell and Mr. Fudge directed by Jeff Wood and starring Mackenzie Astin, Keri Lynn Pratt and Wes Robertson. The film is based on a true story about an Alabama preacher who has been hired to determine the existence of hell. The movie won a Platinum Award during its premiere at this year’s Worldfest/Houston International Film Festival. The composer has also scored the documentary It Is No Dream about the life and times of Theodor Herzl, who was responsible for creating the political movement that led in 1948 to the founding of the Jewish state, Israel. The film narrated by Ben Kingsley and starring Christoph Waltz as the voice of Theodor Herzl is directed and produced by Richard Trank and co-written and produced by Marvin Hier (The Long Way Home).
