Duncan Thum & David Bertok have received their first Primetime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Documentary Series or Special (Original Dramatic Score) category for their score for Netflix’s Chef’s Table: Legends episode José Andrés at today’s second night of the 77th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score last month. Thum has previously been Emmy-nominated twice for his work on episodes of the early Chef’s Table seasons.
In the Outstanding Music Direction category, Kendrick Lamar & Tony Russell were the winners for The Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show Starring Kendrick Lamar. The winners of the other music categories were announced yesterday.
