Swedish singer/songwriter Anna von Hausswolff has teamed up with Filip Leyman to score the upcoming drama Couture. The film is written and directed by Alice Winocour (Proxima, Augustine) and stars Angelina Jolie, Anyier Anei, Louis Garrel and Ella Rumpf. The movie is set in the Parisian fashion industry and weaves together multiple threads of women and girls from Ukraine, Sudan, and France, in the lead up to a fashion show. Jolie is also producing the project with Charles Gillibert (On the Road, Mustang, Annette ), Zhang Xin (The History of Sound) and William Horberg (The Talented Mr. Ripley, Cold Mountain). Von Hausswolff has previously scored Winocour’s last feature, Revoir Paris. Couture is premiering today at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Von Hausswolff & Leyman have also recently co-scored Lucía Aleñar Iglesias’s Spanish/Italian/Swedish drama Forastera starring Zoe Stein, Lluís Homar, Núria Prims, Nonni Ardal and Martina García. The movie, which is set in Mallorca and revolves around a teenager who quietly step into her grandmother’s role after the death of her family’s matriarch, will premiere tomorrow at TIFF.
