Composer David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Out of Sight, Killing Eve, Black Bag, Analyze That, Hunger, HaywireNo Sudden MoveMarloweDiane) is reuniting with directors Lisa Barros D’Sa & Glenn Leyburn (Cherrybomb) on the upcoming Irish/British biographical sports drama Saipan. The film directed by Barros D’Sa’s & Leyburn and stars Steve Coogan and Éanna Hardwicke. The movie explores the infamous fallout between the Republic of Ireland’s team captain Roy Keane and coach Mick McCarthy on the eve of the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Japan and South Korea. Paul Fraser (TwentyFourSeven) wrote the screenplay. Macdara Kelleher (What If, Strangerland), John Keville (The Hole in the Ground), Trevor Birney (Kneecap) and Olly Butler (The Heist Before Christmas) are producing the Wild Atlantic Pictures & Finepoint Films production. Holmes has previously collaborated with the directors on the features Good Vibrations and Ordinary Love. Saipan is premiering this week at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Holmes has also recently scored Steven Soderbergh’s The Christophers, which is also premiering at TIFF.
