Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Disturbia, Christopher Robin, Leo, The Pacific) has recently been scoring the upcoming sci-fi adventure Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die. The film is directed by Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Ring) and stars Sam Rockwell, Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Peña, Zazie Beetz and Juno Temple. The movie follows a man claiming to be from the future who takes the patrons of an iconic Los Angeles diner hostage in search of unlikely recruits in a quest to save the world. Matthew Robinson (Dora and the Lost City of Gold, Love and Monsters) wrote the screenplay. Robert Kulzer (Resident Evil series, Agatha All Along) is producing the project for Constantin Film LA, alongside Denise Chaian, Erwin Stoff (Edge of Tomorrow, I Am Legend) and Oly Obst (The Lovebirds, No One Wants This). Zanelli has previously contributed additional music to Verbinski’s Pirates trilogy & The Lone Ranger and was also credited as an arranger on the director’s animated feature Rango. Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die is scheduled to be released in theaters nationwide on January 30, 2026 by Briarcliff Entertainment.
Zanelli’s other recent projects include Kyle Misak’s horror comedy Bad Haircut, which will premiere this month at the Fantastic Fest.
