Takuma Watanabe (Chime, Aristocrats, A Beautiful Star) has released a soundtrack album for the Japanese psychological thriller Cloud (Kuraudo). The album, which features the composer’s original score from the film, was released in Japan and several other markets last fall and is now available worldwide on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Cloud is written and directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa and stars Masaki Suda, Kotone Furukawa, Daiken Okudaira, Yoshiyoshi Arakawa, Amane Okayama and Masataka Kubota. The movie follows an ambitious young factory worker from Tokyo who side hustles in the murky realm of black market reselling who – after swindling his way into loads of cash – becomes slowly disconnected to humanity.The thriller, which premiered at last year’s Venice Film Festival, opened in Japanese theaters last fall and will be released in New York this coming Friday, July 18 by Sideshow & Janus Films before expanding to Los Angeles on July 25 and to more markets in the coming weeks.
