Jamie Jackson & Waz (aka WAZ-JACKSON) (Cougar Town, Bad Monkey, Bluff City Law, Undateable, Life Sentence, Surviving Jack, Rush Hour, Egg) are scoring the upcoming Prime Video original series Motorheads. The show is created by John A. Norris (All American) and stars Ryan Phillippe, Nathalie Kelley, Michael Cimino, Melissa Collazo, Uriah Shelton, Nicolas Cantu, Mia Healey, Drake Rodger, Josh Macqueen, Matt Lanter, Audrey Gerthoffer and Johnna Dias-Watson. The young-adult action-drama tells the story of a group of outsiders who form an unlikely friendship over a mutual love of street racing, while navigating the hierarchy and rules of high school. Norris is also executive producing the Amazon MGM production with Jason Seagraves (The Vanishingg, Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Venom), Keegan Rosenberger and Dana Brunetti (The Social Network, Captain Phillips), as well as Neil Burger (Limitless, Divergent) who also directed the pilot episode. Motorheads will premiere on May 20 exclusively on Prime Video.
Jackson & WAZ are also expected to return to score the second season of Apple TV+’s Bad Monkey. They have also recently been scoring Jeffrey McHale’s documentary It’s Dorothy (with Anton Riehl) about cultural icon Dorothy Gale. The movie will premiere next month at the Tribeca Film Festival.
