Antonio Pinto (City of God, Lord of War, McFarland, USA, Nine Days, Shot Caller, Amy, Self/Less) has composed the original score for the upcoming thriller Flight Risk. The film is directed by Mel Gibson (Braveheart, The Passion of the Christ) and stars Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Dockery and Topher Grace. The movie follows a pilot transporting an Air Marshal accompanying a fugitive to trial. As they fly over the Alaskan wilderness, tensions soar and trust is tested. Jared Rosenberg wrote the screenplay. Gibson is also producing the project with John Davis (Predator, I, Robot), John Fox (Game Night, Jungle Cruise) and Bruce Davey (What Women Want, Hacksaw Ridge). Pinto has previously scored the Gibson-produced feature Get the Gringo. Flight Risk will be released in theaters nationwide on January 24, 2025 by Lionsgate.
Pinto’s other recent feature projects include Todd Komarnicki’s Bonhoeffer: Pastor. Spy. Assassin (co-scored with Gabriel Ferreira), which is currently playing in theaters, as well as Asif Kapadia’s 2073, which premiered at this year’s Venice Film Festival and will be released in select U.S. theaters on December by Neon.
