Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1985 romantic drama Out of Africa directed by Sydney Pollack and starring Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, Klaus Maria Brandauer. The album features the complete original score from the film composed and conducted by John Barry (Dances with Wolves, Goldfinger, Somewhere in Time, Moonraker, Body Heat, Mary, Queen of Scots), including previously unreleased music, as well as alternate tracks and source cues. The composer received his fourth Academy Award for his score for the movie. The CD is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release. MCA Records has previously released the 1985 original soundtrack album, while Varese Sarabande has released a re-recording featuring additional tracks in 1997. Out of Africa is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
