Ali Shaheed Muhammad Adrian Younge (Luke Cage, Sugar, Boogie, Reasonable Doubt, Run This Town, Power Book III: Raising Kanan) have composed the original music for the new Prime Video original series Cross. The show is created by Ben Watkins (Hand of God, Burn Notice) based on James Patterson’s best-selling Alex Cross books and stars Aldis Hodge in the title role, alongside Isaiah Mustafa, Juanita Jennings, Samantha Walkes, Alona Tal, Caleb Elijah, Jennifer Wigmore, Melody Hurd, Eloise Mumford and Ryan Eggold. The 8-part thriller follows the investigations of the titular brilliant forensic psychologist and DC Metro Detective who – together with his best friend and partner Detective John Sampson – delves into the psyches of America’s most insidious killers while fighting to protect his family from the dangers of the criminal world. Watkins is also executive producing the Amazon MGM Studios, Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Television production with Sam Ernst, Jim Dunn (Carnival Row), Craig Siebels, Patterson, Bill Robinson & Patrick Santa (Zoo, Instinct), as well as David Ellison & Dana Goldberg (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, The Tomorrow War) and Bill Bost (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, Reacher). Robin Urdang serves as the project’s music supervisor. Cross will premiere on November 14, 2024 exclusively on Prime Video.

Muhammad & Younge are also expected to return to score the second second of Apple TV+’s Sugar.
