B Original has released a soundtrack album for the French animated feature Into the Wonderwoods (Angelo dans la forêt mystérieuse). The album features the film’s original music composed by Olivier Bernet (Persepolis, The Voices, Chicken with Plums, Hunted). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and most other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list. Into the Wonderwoods is directed by Vincent Paronnaud & Alexis Ducord and tells the story of a 10 year-old boy who dreams of being an adventurer and explorer who gets lost one day on his way to his grandmother’s house and finds himself in a mysterious land inhabited by strange beings threatened by an enemy even worse than the local ogre. The animated film premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and is opening in French theaters today. No word yet on a domestic release.
