Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1962 drama Requiem for a Heavyweight directed by Ralph Nelson and starring Anthony Quinn, Jackie Gleason, Julie Harris and Mickey Rooney. The album features the the expanded and remastered original score from the film composed by Laurence Rosenthal (Clash of the Titans, Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Becket, Rooster Cogburn, Meteor), including previously unreleased music. The CD also includes a remastered version of the composer’s music from the 1961 drama A Raisin in the Sun directed by Daniel Petrie and starring Sidney Poitier, Ruby Dee, Claudia McNeil, Roy Glenn, Diana Sands and Louis Gossett Jr. Visit Intrada’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release.
