Christoph Zirngibl (Jerry Cotton, Mia and Me: The Hero of Centopia, Luna’s Revenge) & Ralf Wengenmayr (Manitou’s Shoe, Love, Rosie, Balloon, Hotel Lux) have teamed up to score the first German Apple TV+ original series, Where’s Wanda?. The show is created by Oliver Lansley (Flack) & Zoltan Spirandelli (Vaya con Dios) and stars Heike Makatsch, Axel Stein, Lea Drinda, Leo Simon, Palina Rojinski, Nikeata Thompson, Kostja Ullmann and Harriet Herbig-Matten. The 8-part comedy follows a father and mother who are desperate to locate their missing 17-year-old daughter who disappeared months ago without a trace and disguise themselves as employees of an electrical company to bug their neighborhood, finding out that behind closed doors, none of their neighbors are who they pretend to be. Lansley is also executive producing the UFA Fiction production with Nataly Kudiabor (The Heartbreak Agency) and Sebastian Werninger, as well as Christian Ditter (How to Be Single) who has also directed several episodes. Where’s Wanda? is premiering today exclusively on Apple TV+.
