Harsh Lessons Records has released a soundtrack album for the Australian animated feature Scarygirl. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ack Kinmonth (Daisy Quokka: World’s Scariest Animal, Combat Wombat, The Wishmas Tree). Scarygirl is directed by Ricard Cussó & Tania Vincent and features the voices of Jillian Nguyen, Sam Neill, Anna Torv, Tim Minchin, Liv Hewson, Mark Coles Smith, Dylan Alcott and Deborah Mailman. The movie tells the story of a young girl who must overcome her fears and journey to a fantastical city to save her father from a mysterious scientist and prevent the destruction of her planet. The animated fantasy adventure opened in Australian theaters this past June and will be released in select U.S. theaters this Friday, October 4 by Viva Pictures.
