Pierre Oberkampf has released a soundtrack album for the coming-of-age drama Girls Will Be Girls. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to Oberkampf’s first two tracks after the jump. Girls Will Be Girls is written and directed by Shuchi Talati and stars Preeti Panigrahi, Kani Kusruti and Kesav Binoy Kiron. The movie is set at a strict boarding school in the Himalayas and follows a 16-year-old girl as she discovers desire and romance; but her rebellious, sexual awakening is disrupted by her mother who never got to come-of-age herself. The drama, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival (where it received the World Cinema Audience Award), just opened in French theaters last week and will be released in select U.S. theaters on September 13 by Juno Films.
