District 6 Music has released a soundtrack album for the French documentary On the Edge (État limite). The album features the film’s original music composed by Gaël Rakotondrabe (The Wild One, Porto, Other People’s Children). On the Edge is directed by Nicolas Peduzzi and centers on Jamal Abdel-Kader, the only psychiatrist in a 400-bed state hospital on the outskirts of Paris. The movie follows the young doctor as he navigates his way from emergency to intensive care, from mentally ill patients to those bedridden by chronic illness. The documentary premiered at last year’s CPH: DOX, among other film festivals, and is opening in French theaters today.
