Composer Richard G. Mitchell (A Good Woman, Moby Dick, To Kill a King, Grand Theft Parsons, Born American, Basil) is reteaming with director Damian Mc Carthy on the upcoming Irish supernatural horror thriller Oddity. The film is written and directed by Mc Carthy and stars Gwilym Lee, Carolyn Bracken, Caroline Menton, Tadhg Murphy, Steve Wall, Jonathan French and Joe Rooney. The movie revolves around a blind medium that uncovers the truth behind her sister’s death with the help of a frightening wooden mannequin. Katie Holly (Mr. Malcolm’s List, Vita & Virginia) is producing the Shudder, Keeper Pictures & Nowhere Film production with Laura Tunstall, Evan Horan & Mette-Marie Kongsved (Nine Days, Come to Daddy). Mitchell has previously scored Mc Carthy’s first feature, Caveat. Oddity is premiering this weekend at the 2024 SXSW Film Festival and is expected to be released later this year by IFC Films & Shudder.
