Plaza Mayor Company has released a soundtrack album for the German World War II drama Stella. A Life. (Stella. Ein Leben.). The album features the film’s original score composed by Peter Hinderthür (The Baader Meinhof Complex, Schumacher, You Will Not Have My Hate, Back on Track, Ice Princess Lily). A Life is co-written and directed by Kilian Riedhof and stars Paula Beer, Jannis Niewöhner, Katja Riemann and Lukas Miko. The movie is inspired by the true story of Stella Goldschlag, a young German Jew who was forced into a fateful tragedy after being tortured and threatened with deportation and began to track down fellow Jews in hiding. The drama premiered at last year’s Zurich Film Festival and will open in German theaters on January 25.
