JB Dunckel (Summer of 85, The Summer of Sangaile, K.O., Capital in the Twenty-First Century) of the electronic pop duo AIR has recently scored the upcoming French/Belgian fantasy drama For Night Will Come (En attendant la nuit). The film marks the narrative feature directorial debut of documentary filmmaker Céline Rouzet (A Distant Thud in the Jungle) and stars Mathias Legoût-Hammond, Elodie Bouchez, Céleste Brunnquell, Jean-Charles Clichet and Laly Mercier. The movie is set in a small town and follows a normal, friendly family hiding their teenage son’s dark secret and thirst for blood. Rouzet also co-wrote the screenplay with William Martin. Olivier Aknin (Breath of Life) and Candice Zaccagnino (Eva & Leon) are producing the Reboot Films & ElianeAntoinette production. For Night Will Come will premiere this week at the 2023 Venice Film Festival.
Dunckel has also recently composed the music for the Andrei Tanase’s Day of the Tiger (Tigru), which premiered at various film festivals earlier this year and will open in Romanian theaters on September 29.
