Hasbro has released a soundtrack for the animated short Optimus Prime: Awakening featuring the film’s original score composed by Bobby Krlic (aka The Haxan Cloak) (Midsommar, Blue Beetle, Eddington, Beef, Beau Is Afraid, Him, Returnal, Anemone, The Wrecking Crew, The Alienist: Angel of Darkness, Invasion, Eenie Meanie). The composer’s music is being released as a digital single and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms. Also listen to the full 13-minute track after the jump. Optimus Prime: Awakening is directed by Joshua Wassung, written by Ryan Parot and features Peter Cullen in his final performance as Optimus Prime. The short is being released in theaters starting tomorrow, September 17, attached to Fathom Entertainment’s 40th Anniversary re-release of 1986’s The Transformers: The Movie.
