La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1986 fantasy adventure The Golden Child directed by Michael Ritchie and starring Eddie Murphy, Charlotte Lewis and Charles Dance. The album features a newly remastered version of the movie’s unused score composed and conducted by Academy Award winner John Barry, (Dances with Wolves, Goldfinger, Out of Africa, Somewhere in Time, Body Heat, The Man with the Golden Gun), as well as the song Best Man in the World written by Barry and performed by Ann Wilson The 2-CD is limited to 1,500 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also listen to audio samples and find out more about the release. La-La Land Records has previously released a 3-CD set featuring Michel Colombier’s original score and Barry’s unused score from the movie back in 2011. The original 1986 soundtrack album was released by Capitol Records. The Golden Child is now available on VOD, 4K Ultra HD & Blu-ray and DVD.
