Gary Gunn (A Thousand and One, Forever, David Makes Man, Quad Gods, Maggie Black, Master of Light).has been tapped to score the upcoming sports drama They Fight. The film is directed by Sheldon Candis (Luv) and stars Andre Holland, Wendell Pierce, Samira Wiley, Toissaint Francois Battiste, Anthony B. Jenkins and Mykelti Williamson. The movie revolves around a coach who was r ecently released from prison and joins a local youth gym to help a ragtag team of adolescent boxers aspiring to a national championship. Candis also co-wrote the screenplay with Andrew Renzi (The Benefactor, AKA Charlie Sheen) based on Renzi’s 2018 documentary of the same title. Renzi is also producing the project with Jason Michael Berman (Air, Nine Days) and Ben Renzo (Joe Bell). They Fight will premiere this June at the 2026 Tribeca Film Festival.
